Dirk Linden learned his trade from the ground up: first an apprenticeship as a window and building cleaner, then years of work on facades, windows and properties of every kind. In 2006 he went self-employed – with little more than solid work and his first customers, who recommended him to others.

That is exactly how the business has grown to this day: not through advertising promises but through recommendations. The one-man business has become an established team; in the office, Nina Putensen keeps everything on track, and out on site our cleaning staff make sure the properties look the way they should.

Our standard is the same as on day one: when we have finished, you should be able to see that professionals were there. And if something is not right, we sort it out – quickly and without argument. Your satisfaction is our top priority; that was on our very first website and it still holds true.

Why the method makes all the difference

At first glance, anyone can clean. What really matters only becomes clear when you look at the surface being cleaned: a facade can be cleaned quickly with high pressure – and damaged in the process so that water soaks into the wall and the damage costs more than any cleaning. Which method a surface can take, which product works on green growth and which areas are better left alone: that is trade knowledge, not gut feeling.

That is why, on delicate surfaces, we first clean a test patch in an inconspicuous spot. You see the result before we start on the whole wall. And if we conclude that cleaning will not help because the render is past saving anyway, we tell you so – even if it means losing a job.

Equipment to suit the property

For glass at height we work with water-fed poles and demineralised water: the pure-water (reverse osmosis) system dries without residue, with no chemicals at all, and avoids the need for scaffolding or an aerial platform. Large floor areas are cleaned by machine, because that is more even and ultimately cheaper than doing it by hand. And for stubborn green growth on facades we rely on hot water rather than more pressure.

Covered just in case

We have public liability insurance, our staff are properly registered, and keys are handed over and documented in writing. These things should go without saying – but unfortunately not in every corner of this industry, which is why we would rather mention them.
