The stairwell is the first thing visitors see in any block of flats. We keep it clean – reliably, on a regular schedule and, if you wish, combined with our caretaker service.

No part of a block of flats is used as heavily as the stairwell – and none causes trouble so reliably when it gets dirty. Anyone who leaves the cleaning to the tenants knows the result: some do it thoroughly, others not at all.

We take care of it all: mopping steps and landings, wiping down handrails and banisters, cleaning the letterbox unit and entrance doors, not forgetting light switches and doorbell panels. On request, cellar corridors, lifts and the windows in the stairwell are included as well.

For property management companies and owners’ associations we are an uncomplicated partner: a regular schedule, reliable work, one invoice – and in special cases such as tenants moving out or tradespeople on site, we respond at short notice.

So that residents know where they stand, we can put up a cleaning schedule in the hallway: it shows which day of the week we come and what is done. That keeps everyone informed and saves the management company a lot of phone calls. We take feedback from residents seriously – if a household notices something, it is put right at the next visit, not after three complaints.

After house moves, renovations or work by tradespeople, a stairwell often looks a mess: dust on every step, footprints, scratches in plain sight. For cases like these we offer a one-off interim or deep clean – scheduled at short notice so that the building is presentable again quickly.

Frequently asked questions

How often should a stairwell be cleaned?+

In most blocks of flats, weekly cleaning has proven its worth. With only a few households or light use, a fortnightly schedule is sometimes enough.

Can the costs be passed on to the tenants?+

Yes, stairwell cleaning can be passed on to tenants as part of the service charges if this is agreed in the tenancy agreement. Our invoices are set out so that your management company can allocate them easily in the service charge statement.

Do you also handle winter gritting, snow clearing and the bins?+

Yes. Many property management companies book a package from us combining stairwell cleaning, wheelie bin service, grounds maintenance and winter gritting and snow clearing – one point of contact for the whole building.

Do you also do one-off deep cleans of stairwells?+

Yes – for example after renovations, house moves or when a building has not been professionally cleaned for a long time. We also tackle skirting boards, banister rails, lights and corners that are not covered in the regular schedule.

What if residents have special requests?+

Simple: the management company or the owner lets us know, and we add the request to the plan – whether it is an extra cellar corridor or a different time slot. Extras discussed directly at the front door are documented and agreed with the client so that billing stays clear.
