Schwalmtal, with Waldniel and Amern, is practically next door for us. The municipality is characterised by detached and semi-detached houses, smaller residential complexes and medium-sized businesses – plus a lot of greenery, which shows on facades and patios.
That is the most common issue here: in the damp Schwalmtal, north-facing walls build up green growth faster than elsewhere. We therefore clean facades gently with hot water instead of high pressure and, on request, apply a sealant so that the growth stays away longer.
Because the journey only takes a few minutes, smaller jobs are worthwhile for us too – jobs that providers from further afield would not even turn out for, such as the windows of a detached house two to four times a year.
Besides Waldniel and Amern, the municipality also includes Dilkrath, Lüttelforst, Hehler, Hostert, Ungerath and many smaller hamlets. The building stock is mixed. On the market square in Waldniel there are houses from the 17th and 18th centuries, the town hall in slurry-coated brick and the neo-Gothic brick church of St. Michael. On Dülkener Straße there are brick houses from the second half of the 19th century, and near Waldniel lies the Rösler estate – laid out from 1934 as a workers' estate with mostly detached houses and gardens. Lime mortar in old brick joints is attacked by acidic cleaners. The hot-water method works without acid. For registered listed buildings, on request we agree the approach in advance with the local monument protection authority (Untere Denkmalbehörde).
Economically, construction stands out above all in Schwalmtal. In the past, textile businesses and the Rösler wire works in Waldniel dominated. According to a location analysis by the IHK Mittlerer Niederrhein (chamber of commerce), in mid-2023 just over 16 per cent of employees worked in construction – around three times the NRW average. Just under 18 per cent worked in health and social care, just under 10 per cent in wholesale. For businesses like these we provide contract cleaning: offices, changing rooms and staff rooms in construction and craft businesses, warehouse space in wholesale, plus practices.

Common questions from Schwalmtal
Will you come out for just one detached house?
+
Yes, especially here. Schwalmtal is ten minutes away, so even a small job pays off for us – unlike for providers who would have to drive for an hour.
Why does the north-facing side keep turning green?
+
Because it gets hardly any sun and therefore stays damp for longer – ideal conditions for algae. Cleaning alone therefore only buys you one to two years. With a long-term sealant after cleaning, the result lasts considerably longer.
Do you also clean patios and paved areas?
+
Yes, with a surface cleaner instead of a pinpoint high-pressure jet – it works evenly and does not cut grooves into the stone. On request, we re-grout afterwards.
