The castle municipality of Brüggen with Bracht and Born lies in the middle of the Schwalm-Nette Nature Park – lovely for visitors, demanding for buildings. Being close to woodland and water means high humidity, lots of pollen and correspondingly fast green growth on facades, patios and glass roofs.
For the restaurants, cafés and accommodation in the village, cleanliness directly affects business: guests see the front windows and the entrance area first. We therefore clean when they are closed – early in the morning or on closing days.
Brüggen is eight kilometres from our head office. This means short-notice appointments are usually possible, including for individual jobs outside a regular schedule.
Brüggen is not just a destination for day trips but also an industrial location. According to a location analysis by the IHK Mittlerer Niederrhein (chamber of commerce), in 2020 just under 45 per cent of employees here worked in manufacturing and production. Across NRW the figure was just over 26 per cent. At the time, the chemical industry and the manufacture of rubber and plastic products were more strongly represented than the state average. The municipality has four commercial and industrial estates: Weihersfeld in Brüggen and Stiegstraße/Christenfeld, Holtweg and Katers Feld in Bracht. If you run a business there, we can clean your offices, changing rooms, break rooms and washrooms. When we come depends on how your business operates.
Besides Brüggen, Bracht and Born, the municipality includes many small settlements, such as Oebel, Genholt, Haverslohe, Lüttelbracht and Alst – we cover those too. In the historic centre of Brüggen stand the medieval brick castle and the convent building of the former Crosier monastery. It was built in 1756 and today houses the municipal administration. Both are listed buildings. If your house is also listed, discuss facade cleaning with the local monument protection authority (Untere Denkmalbehörde) beforehand. Under the NRW Monument Protection Act (Denkmalschutzgesetz NRW), changes to a listed building require permission – depending on the method, cleaning can also count as such a change. We follow the authority's requirements in our work.

Common questions from Brüggen
Do you also clean before opening hours?
+
Yes. In restaurants and shops we work before the first guest arrives or on closing days – so no business comes to a standstill and nobody is cleaning between occupied tables.
Why does everything build up green growth so quickly here?
+
The location in the nature park brings permanently high humidity and a lot of organic matter from the woodland. This encourages algae and moss. A regular schedule is usually more cost-effective here than occasional deep cleaning, because the growth never gets a chance to take hold.
Are Bracht and Born included?
+
Yes, we serve both villages on the same terms as Brüggen itself.
